did I realize
how much it has in common
with my concept.
The operation of
“Mobile of Perpetual Execution”
determined not only the plot,
but also the recurring module
– the machine resumes the cycle
each time after replacing the shirt.
It acts as a framework,
a recurring theme,
during which
another object
appears on the stage.
Each successive one,
overlapping with the other ones,
strengthens the impact of the message
and complements
the plot of the performance
with a new motif.
Adding a new one
enriches the sequence
to become, from one to the next,
an element
of the repeated basis,
which is further expanded
by another segment.
The carefully designated:
place and moment of introducing
and the time of activating
the operation of new mobiles
saturates the stage
with mutual relations,
showing
a network of dependencies
and connections
that thickens from cycle to cycle.
This is how
new accents emerge,
counterpoints are created,
the rhythm of the plot intensifies,
the visual effect is enhanced,
as the “Big Machine of Death“
is growing larger on the stage.
In addition,
clatter,
squealing,
rumbling,
creaking,
which are indispensable attributes of the machine’s operation,
accumulate and pile up
by adding devices
to expand
the sonic structure of the performance
that accumulates and piles up in stages.
